Your stash is yours.

Effective 19 August 2026 · Stashly by Floating Point Applications

Stashly is designed to help you organise your fabric stash, sewing patterns, notions and projects. We keep your data safe and private: we do not display advertisements, sell your personal data, or track you across third-party services.

1. Overview

Stashly is a sewing pattern, fabric, notion and project cataloging application developed by Floating Point Applications ("we", "us" or "our"). The app lets you organise your fabric stash, sewing pattern library, notions inventory and active crafting projects. Stashly requires an account. Your catalogue is stored on your device and the app keeps working without a connection; your data is also synced to the cloud so it is backed up and available on your other devices.

2. What data we collect

Information you provide, and cloud data

Email address Collected when you create an account, and used for authentication, sign-in and account security.
Catalogue data Pattern names, fabric inventory details, notion records, project entries, notes, tags and categories. Synced to the cloud for signed-in accounts.
Photos Images you take or attach to a pattern, fabric, notion or project. Stored on your device and synced to your own private cloud storage, readable only by your account, so they are backed up and available on your other devices.

The community barcode catalogue

To make barcode lookup possible when adding commercial sewing patterns, Stashly maintains a shared community barcode catalogue. When a user adds a commercial pattern with a UPC barcode, non-personal commercial pattern specifications — brand name, pattern number, title, garment type and fabric yardage requirements — are contributed to that shared lookup.

Community barcode privacy. Personal notes, prices, personal photos, fabric stash items, user names, email addresses and account IDs are never contributed to or shared with the community barcode catalogue. Only non-personal, public commercial pattern details are shared.

3. Device permissions

Camera Used solely for barcode scanning and for taking photos of fabrics, patterns, notions or projects. Photos are stored on your device and synced to your own private cloud storage.
Storage and photos Lets you select, save and display pattern and fabric photos in your catalogue. Stored on your device and synced to your own private cloud storage.

4. Core Privacy Guarantees

5. Account and Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. You can delete your account directly inside the app under Settings → Delete Account, or submit a request via our dedicated Data Deletion Page or by emailing support@floatingpointapps.com.
